Of note, I recently learned of OpenCore Legacy Patcher
<https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/>, which can unlock
older Mac hardware to be able to run the latest macOS. I haven't used it
myself, but I know of people who have had success with it and it's
apparently easy.
