boost176 + py311 vs +py312

I'd like to have both TexLive and Hugin-app installed.  However, TexLive-bin needs Poppler which installed  boost176 +py312 while Hugin-app needs vigra which demands boost176 +py311.  I'm actually not sure why Poppler installed +py312 because it's library dependency lists python311.  Can I force uninstall Boost176, let vigra install it the way it wants and then expect Poppler to work or will I need to rebuild Poppler?
