Installing pyXX-opencv

I have been having trouble installing any of the ports: py39-opencv or py310-opencv or py311-opencv for a while now. I get errors that I have reported at https://trac.macports.org/ticket/69381.  The OpenCV port seems to have issue with installing the EXR decoder Chromaticities. Anyone know how to install opencv now on M1 Ventura configuration?  Is there some work-around for my install issue?
