Yes, it starts and works now.  I am using quartz.  I haven't fully tested it yet as I wanted to re-install some plugins, etc. first.

Unfortunately, ICU touches quite a few things.  I am getting libxml2 errors in my system log for the same reason.  My mail will not work, I have a clip board editor that is non-functional (when the earlier version is active), and I see that bsdtar has issues as well.  Unfortunately I did not retain all of the previously installed items that are affected by this.  So, even if I have some bash scripts to activate/inactivate known items (for use with claws-mail, meld, KeePassXC, etc.), I am sure that there are other - unknown things that will break that I am not prepared for.
