Hi,
I had a complete working installation with no issues on 10.15
(unfortunately not yet the case on 10.13 or lower...).
I did selfupdate today, which also includes a macports upgrade, and get
conflicts over and over between glib2 with x11 and quartz. The Mac is
set to prefer quartz.
port installed
glib2 @2.88.0_0+quartz
port info glib2
glib2 @2.88.0 (devel)
Sub-ports: glib2-bootstrap
Variants: debug, debugoptimized, quartz, [+]x11
---> Upgrading atk (1/15)
---> Computing dependencies for atk
The following dependencies will be installed: glib2 +x11
Continue? [Y/n]:
if I answer No, I get a series of failures of other ports requiring x11,
if I answer yes, I get
---> Upgrading atk (1/15)
---> Computing dependencies for atk
The following dependencies will be installed: glib2 +x11
Continue? [Y/n]:
Error: Requested variants "+x11" do not match those the build was
started with: "+quartz".
Error: Please use the same variants again, or run 'port clean glib2'
first to remove the existing partially completed build.
Error: See

for details.
Error: Follow https://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets if you believe
there is a bug.
how to get out?
Riccardo
