A 1.4 release / Insall MacPorts of different drive

Oh I see my question about

has been addressed in this parallel thread.

Also, I'll see if I can stick some verbiage in the README installer .dmg
file to warn people about trying to install into other than /opt/local
with the .dmg installer, since I am guessing no actuial installer changes
will be made for this  point release.
