In terms of intellectual property, this is more an issue of trademark
than of copyright--the brand identity of MacPorts/DarwinPorts instead of
complying with the licensing terms of the source code. These are not
contradictory--the Mozilla Foundation places extensive restrictions on
how the Firefox and Mozilla trademarks can be used, even with an
open-source license. Of course, to assert a trademark, there needs to be
some legal entity set up to do so. Trademark registration is not
required to assert the trademark use, although it makes things easier.
