port install libsigcxx2 +universal fails

Have you already reported the problem to the developers of libsigc++?  
It sounds like this problem will affect all Mac users trying to build  
libsigc++ universal, not just those using MacPorts, so ideally the  
libsigc++ developers would solve the problem on their end.
