I wonder if it's these delegate bits, which point to /opt/local/etc/ 
xml/docbook which I don't have here?  Maybe if you also didn't have  
them, it then went over the network?  I noticed, watching netstat,  
talking to oasis-open.org wasn't exactly the fastest network connection.
