Redundant p5- libraries

Option 1. It's a no-brainer. Any avoidable dependency has to be avoided.

But this change is no small thing. It has been lingering as long as I
use macports. Thanks to everyone who helped sort this out! This makes
macports much better, because everything needs Perl.
