The implication is that xfce4-settings and/or one of its dependencies
needs to be rebuilt against
the new version of the library.

However, it isn't clear to me which ones because

port rdeps xfce4-settings
doesn't show any dependency on libxklavier.

Probably best to file this as a ticket against xfce4-settings, copying
the maintainer, as he surely
has a better understanding of the situation than I do.
