At first I thought just a recompile would fix the issue, but it doesn't.
Actually the simplest might be to update xfce4-settings to 4.6.5 (it
worked fo me) since it has been updated to the new libxklavier API
(see http://www.xfce.org/documentation/changelogs/4.6.2).
Also xfce4-settings is not dependent of libxklavier but configure
checks for it.
I will file a ticket.
