Snow Leopard and build env

Hello,
I looked at a couple debug output from wordgrinder on Snow Leo from
different peopland I noticed that build phase had only
DEBUG: Environment: MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET='10.6'
while I had instead
DEBUG: Environment: CPATH='/opt/local/include'
LIBRARY_PATH='/opt/local/lib' MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET='10.5'

Why does the environment change from Leopard to Snow Leopard using the
same Portfile?

port was 1.8.2 on both the SL systems and updated trunk on my computer.
