MacPorts base includes some architecture-checking functionality so part of me is tempted to remove the archcheck portgroup from all ports, except that the functionality in base doesn't actually check files' architectures, right? It just checks what architecture the registry says ports were installed with? Which could either be inaccurate (for misbehaved ports) or missing (for ports installed before MacPorts 1.9.0)?
