IFF everyone cares about java?
I don't care too much either way, it just seems like removing it as a dependency has this tradeoff:
- maybe break compatibility (which was maybe already broken)
+ make the perceived dependency graph look simpler
It seems like it might be more interesting to make the deps engine/dependency graph smarter (so it knows that it won't actually be installing kaffe and its deps), not that I'm offering patches ;-)
