I uninstalled gnutar again and the problem persists with my MacPorts installation standard prefix:
---
---> Updating the ports tree
---> MacPorts base is already the latest version
The ports tree has been updated. To upgrade your installed ports, you should run
port upgrade outdated
The following installed ports are outdated:
ktoblzcheck 1.37_0 < 1.38_0
---> Computing dependencies for ktoblzcheck
---> Installing ktoblzcheck @1.38_0
Error: Target org.macports.install returned: tar: +CONTENTS: Not found in archive
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors.
Log for ktoblzcheck is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_Users_marko_WC_MacPorts_ports_devel_ktoblzcheck/ktoblzcheck/main.log
Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1

Error: No ports matched the given expression

My other installations on different prefixes pull the sources just fine from MacPorts and untar them no problem.
This is a problem with binary ports, I figure.
Wondering what could be done to make it work.
