Ok, I see what you mean. When I tested locally, before a port was added (or before its subports were added), I would use e.g. "sudo port install subport=pure-mode.el" so I didn't notice that it wasn't in the index properly. I don't understand why this prevents the subports from getting indexed, but I guess it doesn't matter; I'll fix the ports.

Ok.
I guess then we'll eventually have to find another way to indicate to users what ports/subports it makes sense to install and which ones it doesn't.
