Great! Thanks for taking the time to improve my sketch. I’ve noted the way you ask for another port registry. Ideally, we should get rid of that check if the PostgreSQLxx ports are updated to strip arch flags from PGXS scripts. But as long as this bug is not fixed…

Btw, this leads me to another question: is it possible to specify that a ports depends on either another port or a third one; e.g. something like: “depends-lib postgis, postgis2” that would specify one of the two, at the user’s leisure.
