Should we cc: openmaintainer at macports.org in tickets?

I understand that one simply needs a git repo to be accessible somewhere to do a pull from it--be that macosforge-hosted or otherwise. Git can also generate the patches that would be part of a pull, then simply email them off or attach to a ticket. This hints strongly that Trac or a replacement should be able to pull it off fairly easily.

Has MacOSForge considered switching now that git ships with OS X/Xcode?
