Hi guys,

The KDE build-system developers have now fixed the problem with
excessive symbol visibility (or invisibility in some cases), when Clang
is used to compile KDE.

The KDE build system, as of KDE 4.11.1, will have a section that recognises
Clang and creates appropriate settings. Technical details are at:

http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kdelibs.git&a=commit&h=90cb7ba760584a8010afef65fa14e649195af6c6

and in the committed code.

KDE 4.11 was released about a week ago and KDE 4.11.1 will be released
on 3 September.

My original KDE bug report and Macports ticket are both closed now, see:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300429
https://trac.macports.org/ticket/34605?replyto=1#comment

The original topic for those was
"__KDE_HAVE_GCC_VISIBILITY not defined on Apple OS X 10.7.4 Lion"

Cheers, Ian W.
