Sorry, this was nonsense; I was mistaking -Wall for -Werror. The problem with couchdb was fixed in r101590 by removing -Werror from its Makefile. I'll revert this icu change when I update icu to version 50, hopefully tomorrow. Need to try rebuilding all the dependents first.
