The symptom was that litecoin-qt started with a crash due to change of some boost lib.
I can't remember now what exactly was the cause, but I figured it would be better to revbump litecoin because of this.

On the other hand I have a bigger problem with this port! See issue https://trac.macports.org/ticket/39820 !

This seems to need quite a bit of research. I wasn't aware of the fact that the port obviously is flawed heavily due to the prefix issue.
