request: bringing wxWidgets "up to date"

I figured out now how to do the second. Does anyone have any idea to
do the first?

Ports which depend on wxWidgets would need to specify something like
--with-wx=${prefix}/lib/wx/config/osx_cocoa-unicode-2.9.
