Problem with KDE and Clang near to solution

It looks as though a solution to a problem compiling KDE with Clang
is near. Apparently BSD has now changed over to Clang and found
a similar problem, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=313763
My original report was https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300429
KDE compiles and builds OK with Clang in Macports. My private source
code using KDE libs also compiles and builds OK as long as I use Clang,
not GCC, but the built modules have vastly more symbols than they need.
A way to suppress the superfluous symbols has been found and should
appear in KDE 4.11 and maybe in a bugfix release for KDE 4.10. See the
