port(1) is deliberately non-interactive, so the y/N prompt is a feature
for a different tool.

I think that would require implementing the equivalent of a requested
flag for variants, to distinguish between "the defaults changed" and
"user chose non-default variants deliberately". Maybe more trouble than
it's worth.
