Any reason for py-keyring hanging at version 0.6.2?

Hi everyone,
I just stumbled upon py-keyfile on linux, and wanted to give it a spin
on OSX.
Unfortunately, macports has version 0.6.2. Which is pretty old
(http://pypi.python.org/pypi/keyring says 3.0.5 is the latest one)
Is there a reason, why there is no newer version? I mean, other than
no one needing it and no one maintaining it? Compiling issues or similar
Regards,
Johannes
