macports or meld issue?

hmm, is something else broken, then? There's a US distfiles mirror (http://sea.us.distfiles.macports.org) (of course I guess I'm just assuming that he's in the US and was getting an across-an-ocean slow download)

Do we have one (or more) distfile mirrors that are slow (that we should maybe remove or depref somehow?)
