Verbose information about OS X / Xcode / command line tools / compiler version etc.

Hi,

The buildbots only print the following information about the compiler version:

DEBUG: compiler clang 503.0.40 not blacklisted because it doesn't
match { clang <= 318.0.61 }

so it recently took a bit of a guess-work after failed builds to
realize that the tools on 10.8 were outdated.

Here's what Ryan wrote:

It would be better if MacPorts base itself would clearly and prominently print the OS X version, Xcode version, command line tools version, compiler version, computer model, number and speed of processors, amount of RAM, amount of disk space, and other vital data near the top of every log.

Is anyone willing to open a ticket in the tracker (and/or implement
these features)?

Mojca
