Warnings when parsing hdfeos5 Portfile

I noticed that doing anything that parses the hdfeos5 Portfile, even
just 'port info hdfeos5', produces this output:

Warning: mpi_active_variant_name: [active_variants bin:h5pcc:hdf5 mpich
""] fails.
Warning: mpi_active_variant_name: [active_variants bin:h5pcc:hdf5
mpich_devel ""] fails.
Warning: mpi_active_variant_name: [active_variants bin:h5pcc:hdf5
openmpi ""] fails.
Warning: mpi_active_variant_name: [active_variants bin:h5pcc:hdf5
openmpi_devel ""] fails.

It looks like this is harmless, but it's ugly and likely to alarm users.
Would it be possible to avoid it?
