In ticket https://trac.macports.org/ticket/55106 I submitted a patch for dbatex.

The patch add a +mactex variant  to support installation with MacTeX instead of MacPorts' TexLive. The patch doesn't change the default dblatex installation.

Could the new dblatex version be added to MacPorts?
