Question regarding builders and require_active_variants

Hi all,

As I was working on a port recently, a question came to mind which I'm
curious about. When using `require_active_variants` in a Portfile, are the
builders smart enough to then install dependencies using the required
variants? Because when I install the port locally, I have to manually go
and install the dependencies myself with the required variants.
