ports.macports.org gives strange port dependencies

Dependencies are really the only thing that springs to mind, but perhaps others have other suggestions. Variants perhaps are another thing that can vary by os cersion. If you could find a way to make this info correct for at least one OS (and the most obvious based on the most used stats would be the most recent) that would help. Also, maybe i miss it but somewhere on the site it should be explicitly and clearly stated the deps, and default variants I guess, only relate to one OS, i.e. the most recent, and that things might be slightly different for older OSes.
