Recommended method to end maintainership for a port?

Modify the Portfile(s) removing yourself from the maintainers section, and
then submit it as a pull request. If the only change you are making to the
Portfile(s) is to remove yourself from the maintainers section, then you
can do that for more than one Portfile if desired, and simply submit a
single pull request for all of them at the same time.
