 There are PEAR variants for both the php4 and php5 ports. You need a
 version of PHP installed to run PEAR anyway, and PEAR works for me using
 them with their variant.  Is the pear-base port now obsolete? The main PHP
 package has make targets for pear already, so I'd say the pear-base port
 isnt needed.
