 Patch for Tiger, tested and built successfully on i386 Tiger 10.4.11. This
 uses the ghc-6.6 bootstrap so I needed to add a couple of reinplace - the
 GHCBIN and TOPDIR variables are quoted with " in the ghc-6.6 bootstrap
 tarball, but apparently not in the 6.8.2 bootstrap. This patch should work
 with both bootstraps though.

 Still not tested on PowerPC since I don't have any such machine available
 to me.
