#14009: MySQL5 5.0.51 does not work with SSL - need patch
--------------------------------------+-------------------------------------
Reporter: compconsultant at yahoo.com | Owner: macports-tickets at lists.macosforge.org
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: Normal | Milestone: Port Bugs
Component: ports | Version: 1.6.0
Keywords: mysql5 |
--------------------------------------+-------------------------------------
The bug is reported on the MySQL bug tracker under various numbers:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=33050
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=33292
The (better) patch is found here:
http://bugs.mysql.com/file.php?id=8119&text=1
Essentially, you cannot connect via client using SSL to a remote MySQL
server, including, replication and the MySQL client. So, the bug only
affects those using SSL. Works fine in 5.0.45. So, this is not a problem
with the Port per se, it's a problem in the MySQL source, since there is a
patch which they say works, I am asking that it be included in the Port.
Our sites all use SSL, so, we cannot use the port as is.
