 using OS X 10.4.11, installed MacPorts using the Tiger binary. The install
 script did not set my environmental variables (I had to manually set PATH
 and MANPATH, no .profile file was created), and installing software with
 the port command did not install the corresponding man pages to
 /opt/local/share/man, /usr/share/man, /usr/local, or anywhere man pages
 would normally be found if they were in fact installed at all.
