 The perl5 port group uses the version of perl which is available at
 `${prefix}/bin/perl`.

 So as an immediate workaround(!) you can use this approach:
 {{{
 sudo port install perl5.10
 sudo ln -sf /opt/local/bin/perl5.10.0 /opt/local/bin/perl
 sudo port -fn upgrade p5-*
 }}}

 This should make all p5-* ports use perl5.10 instead of perl5.8. Note that
 this will break as soon as you upgrade perl5.8 as it will restore the
 `/opt/local/bin/perl` symlink.
