 This behaviour is also in the Python ports, but even worse there since it
 needs one port for each language version (i.e. py-foo requires python24
 and py25-foo requires python25). You can also see it with X11 ports
 requiring XFree86, but there it is a library dependency so having another
 X server install will also work - compare bin:perl:perl5.8
