#19267: rubber: fails to install because of "SyntaxError: invalid syntax"

Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: Normal | Milestone: Port Bugs
Component: ports | Version: 1.7.1
Keywords: syntax, install | Port: rubber

Comment(by raimue@…):
rubber should be bound to a specific python version. The dependency on
python_select is simply wrong, as python_select does not provide any
python. It should for example depend on python26 and be patched to use
${prefix}/bin/python2.6.
