#20781: checking for GMIME... configure: error: Package requirements (gmime-2.0
>= 2.1.9)
-----------------------------------+----------------------------------------

-----------------------------------+----------------------------------------
 Today I just wanted to do some work with gimp - but is stopped working. So
 I thought an update might be at hand.

 Only - I can't update:

 {{{
 checking pkg-config is at least version 0.16... yes
 checking for GLIB - version >= 2.4.0... yes (version 2.20.4)
 checking for GMIME... configure: error: Package requirements (gmime-2.0
 >= 2.1.9) were not met:

 No package 'gmime-2.0' found

 Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
 installed software in a non-standard prefix.

 Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GMIME_CFLAGS
 and GMIME_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
 See the pkg-config man page for more details.

 Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
 }}}

 Of course GMIME is installed:

 {{{
 ~/Applications Darwin martin at macpro So Aug 23 19:47:44 standart 130
 >port installed gmime
 The following ports are currently installed:
   gmime @2.4.8_0 (active)
 ~/Applications Darwin martin at macpro So Aug 23 19:47:48 standart 0
 >
 }}}

 I added this defect to both gimp and gmine - since I had a very similar
 problem yesterday with pan2/gmime. I guess the gmime update opened a can
 of worms.
