Yes, I misquoted the file name. The file where I'm having trouble is
vrml97node.cpp.

0.17.11 using the Portfile under development in this ticket. If you like,
I'll give it a try using your
trunk code.

I'm sure that's true. I'm just concerned that the amount of resources
necessary to build this port successfully
may put off some people who would otherwise adopt it. I know you've put a
lot of work into this problem
and I hope you'll continue to do so.
