 I'm afraid I'm no closer to understanding why you are experiencing this
 issue, therefore I still cannot suggest how to resolve it, short of
 reinstalling MacPorts and all ports, which is what I now recommend since
 that should definitely work. I suggest you follow the instructions on the
 [wiki:Migration Migration page].
