 I'd say that this is a bug in MacPorts: the --disable-dependency-tracking
 is ''not'' a standard option (see
 [http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/standards.html#Configuration GNU Coding
 Standards]). Anyway I've added
 {{{
 configure.universal_args
 }}}
 in r56752 ({{{configure.universal_args=''}}} does not work here on Tiger /
 PowerPC).
