 This doesn't directly affect this bug, but probably most people will
 encounter this bug while trying to install dia.

 I edited the dia Portfile to include ''configure.args --disable-libemf''
 and removed the dependency on the libemf port. All went well.

 Perhaps the Portfile for dia should have libemf disabled by default if the
 libemf port isn't working and won't be maintained. Or at least have it as
 a variant.
