 Sorry, I'm getting this error as well, I tried your advice but it still
 doesn't work.  I didn't have XQuartz to start with but I installed it
 anyway, rebooted, and completely removed everything from Python and X
 upwards before trying again, but it still fails.  Any suggestions?
