 It looks like this is an architecture problem -- presumably ncurses is
 installed 64-bit (you can verify with lipo -info
 /opt/local/lib/libncurses.dylib) as it should be since you're on a 64-bit
 machine, but mit-scheme is trying to build 32-bit, which is definitely a
 bug.

 Unfortunately, I'm on a 32-bit machine myself so my ability to help may be
 limited, but I'll give it a shot. Hopefully you don't mind testing a
 patch!
