 The immediate fix is to add "--disable-poppler-qt" to "configure.args";
 this flag disables the use of any qt3 (x11 or aqua).  Might want to
 consider adding a variant for it.  I don't know if poppler supports both
 qt3 and qt4 simultaneously, but it might.
