New description:

 All GTK+ apps' "file open" dialogs do not sort alphabetically in Snow
 Leopard. For example, it will look something like this:

 CCC [[br]]
 BBB [[br]]
 FFF [[br]]
 DDD [[br]]
 EEE

 This problem has been researched by a maintainer of Gimp for OSX. It was
