 Right. I realize I was unclear. Core is a 32-bit processor. Core 2 is a
 64-bit processor. Many people get these two confused so I didn't want to
 take you at your word when you said you have a Core processor. But now
 that I see the output from `sysctl` I know for certain that you do indeed,
 as you said, have a Core processor, which is a 32-bit processor, which
 explains why you were not able to use 64-bit software.
